VICKIE ROSENBERG
NRG Ring was created
by soccer mom Vickie Rosenberg. Realizing the benefit of “fueling for
performance”, Vickie designed the NRG Ring device to give soccer players
nutritional information in a convenient and easy-to-understand manner that will
help the player and their game. “Fueling for performance” puts the final piece
of the puzzle together to round out the player’s maximum ability. This
combination of technical skills, fitness training, speed and agility and now
nutritional fueling helps the player be the best that they can be.
In
the beginning, The Rosenberg’s read The Vision of a Champion, co-written
by Gloria Averbuch and Anson Dorrance, Univ. of North Carolina Women’s Soccer
Coach. They located Gloria and enlisted her expertise in the field of sports
nutrition by inviting her to give a seminar on the topic. Vickie then created
the first NRG Ring and duplicated it for the fourteen players of their U12 Girls
team. Because of the unique device and specific nutritional information, Vickie
and Gloria opted to work together over the next year to bring the benefit of
this product to soccer players all over the country.
Vickie and her
husband Jerry have been involved with youth soccer for the last twenty years.
They are both licensed soccer coaches and played soccer in their younger days.
Their son Ryan, who is now 28 years old, started to play soccer when he was
seven. Their 13 year old daughter Annie started to learn about soccer when she
was four. The Rosenbergs have also organized successful soccer tournaments for
over twelve years with as many as 160 teams playing soccer in one day. This is
truly a soccer-oriented family who has always put the love of the game first as
well as promoting the sport of soccer for both boys and girls of all ages.
